Apparently I should be upset about Activision-Blizzard taking back control over their games today. In comparing schedules I found out I was supposed to be that every day, found that to be lacking in creativity, and moved on. Instead of making noise, I am going to talk about ingame lore books and them contradicting newly-canonised lore.

In Favour of Artistic Freedom

Above everything else, in my opinion WoW is lacking overarching coherence and that's the greatest difference between a WoW 12 years ago and WoW in its current state. This can probably only be solved by giving its devs at least some artistic freedom. That is essentially the opposite of listening to your player base.
